Greek Game Developers Association is officially re-founded

After almost a decade of absence.

Game developers in Greece are trying to re-establish the Greek Game Developers Association over the last year. The original assocation was defunct a decade ago.

Today, through a press release, the new GGDA has been officially announced. The establishment procedures were completed on 9/2/2021, but the association will start working at the end of this month. The Association was founded with it's legal form, it was registered in the Athens Court of First Instance with Registration Number 33080 and in the Tax Office of Athens III with Tax Identification Number 996861323.

Elections are underway
With the completion of the founding procedures and the gradual withdrawal of COVID-19, the temporary steering committee of the Association is pleased to announce the first elections for the elected Board of Directors.

The elections will take place live in the Serafio of the Municipality of Athens but will also be held electronically. The date is set for October 24, 2021, Sunday, between 10:00 and 21:00.

We will inform you soon with more information about the election procedures, the selection of an election commission, the submission of candidacies for the new Board of Directors and the payment of the subscriptions of the members who wish to vote.

With the kind contribution of GGDA members, the Association now has a website up and running. Anyone who is interested can visit Gamedev.gr. As for now, there is only a landing page but in the future we should expect a fully functional website.
